Porsche GT race cars are among the most popular and successful cars in motorsports, and this latest model surpasses its predecessors in every way. The 3.8-liter flat-six engine generates 460 horsepower that, when combined with improved aerodynamics and an extraordinarily lightweight body, delivers speed with incredible smoothness. For more precision and stability, the suspension has been modified and the wheelbase widened. And thanks to intuitive paddle shifts, increased downforce, and a powerful newly-designed braking system, whipping around corners is a breeze.

Engine

With four overhead camshafts, four valves per cylinder, variable valve timing (VarioCam) hydraulic valve clearance compensation. Adding a direct fuel injection system, a three-way catalytic converter per cylinder bank, each with two oxygen sensors, and an electronic ignition with solid ignition distribution.
The Racing Dashboard

The dashboard, unlike most road cars, is completely digital. The display layout is designed to maximize readability of the most important information for the driver. If necessary, it’s capable of displaying the most detailed information such as data acquisition and G-Forces, by scrolling the pages from a button located on the steering wheel.
Racing 'Slick' Tires

Unlike common road tires, you will not find any tread on racing tires in order to maximize the rubber surface to the asphalt. The difference doesn’t stop there, racing tires are made of a much softer compound. The tires are built for performance rather than longevity; resulting in a superior grip ability over road tires.
The Brakes

A newly developed race braking system improves the excellent endurance qualities compared to the GT’s successful predecessor. With a dual circuit system, six-piston aluminum monoblock calipers squeezing 380mm perforated and internally ventilated front discs, and four piston, 380mm rear brakes. This Club Car will shock you with its ability to shed speed, and the stability and composure it displays as it rapidly decelerates.
Rear Wing

With a massive fixed rear wing sitting 67 inches above the ground forcing the rear of the car to the tarmac with upwards of 485 pounds of downforce. The rear spoiler has multiple adjustments allowing the spoiler to be dialed in to achieve downforce that previous generations of Cup Cars could only dream of.
Rear Diffuser

The rear diffuser is an air channeling device usually made of light weight carbon fiber. This device changes the air flow from under the car, creating a suction like effect pulling the car to the ground. This effect increases the down force without compromising the aerodynamics of the car. The GT Cup car shares the same rear splitter as its road going GT street driven cousin.
Roll Cage

In conjunction with the racing seat and belts, the roll cage increases the safety level of the racing GT Cup at an incomparable level, over road cars. It also improves handling by strengthening the chassis and reducing the torsion of the car. The result is a more efficient and faster car to handle when cornering.
Racing Suspension

When designing the new GT Cup Car, Porsche engineers decided to strongly focus on the cars drivability while the car is at its limits. To accomplish this, they pushed the Cup Cars wheelbase by 10 centimeters, widened the rims over the cars factory widths. Then finally adding infinitely adjustable suspension options including spring/shock and anti-roll bar combo’s. These changes provided many performance enhancements over normal road going GT’s including a lower right height, stiffer handling in corners, and harder braking during deceleration.
